ICICI Direct is a brokerage house. They have tie up with various AMC’s to provide you a platform to invest in Mutual Funds. Direct Mutual fund with ICICI Direct is not possible, a company is a service provider for Mutual Funds. You can invest in Direct Mutual Funds with directly opening an account with AMCs.
Even though ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund is part of ICICI Group, still ICICI Direct is not providing direct mutual fund option with ICICI Prudential AMC.
As of now, Zerodha is only brokerage house in India who is providing Direct Mutual Fund option and not getting any commotion from AMC as well as clients for providing there Zerodha Coin Platform. 5paisa also started offering direct mutual fund with Rs 10 charges for each transaction.
