When you apply in small HNI your IPO application must be between 2 to 10L Rs. In case IPO is oversubscribed in Small HNI category, allotment will be done via lottery. Size of each allotment will be fix to min HNI category size which usually are 14 lots.

So in that case you have invested 2,00,000 or 9,99,999 Rs, the one who is selected in lottery, will get 14 lots only.

Small HNI Category is between 2 to 10L and Big HNI Category is above Rs 10L IPO application. When oversubscribing, both the category will have 14 lots allotment. The only thing is small HNI will have lower allotment change because of higher subscription whereas Big HNI will have more chance of allotment of 14 lots due to lower subscription.

It is certainly wrong to allege that IPO allotment is a scam . Many don''t get it because of the huge over subscription which is due to the big premium on listing. A small percentage of lucky applicants get allotment.I was lucky a few times.

I applied for 2 lots.
And got allotted one.
It was pure sheer luck.
Never in the world would have thought, would get allotment for Bajaj finance.
They say third time''s the charm.
I guess it is true.
First i applied for enfuse back in March.
After that I applied in shree tirupati Balaji.
Along that i applied for Bajaj finance.
I didn''t get allotment in shree balaji.
But, luckily I was able to get allotment of Bajaj.

As far as i know there is no scam, i am a new investor been in the game since a yeae, i applied for nearly 10 IPOs all oversubscribed but got alloted in only two (Emcure and Premier Energies) , its a game of luck , apply with multiple PAN cards, open Demats of all your family members and you will definitely get lucky ! Stop making unnecessaray speculations.

There is no scam on allotment as far as I know.
There was an logic applied for allotment as if the subscription is morethan 100 % then it will be randomly allocated and if less than 100% every one get (if a person applied for morethan 1 lot ) 1 lot applied customers will alloted then remaining.
