HDFC Securities Vs SBI Securities

HDFC Securities and SBI Securities, both are full service brokers which offer BSE and NSE exchanges support. Both the brokers offer 3-in-1 account opening facility. The major difference in both the brokers is their demat account maintenance charges (AMC). SBI Capital charges Rs 350 annually while HDFC Securities charge Rs 799 annually (waived for 1st year).

SBI Securities does not provide commodity trading and charges interest @24% p.a. for margin funding. While HDFC charges only 18% interest per annum for margin funding and also provides the facility to trade in commodities. SBI has a trading platform, namely, SBISMART which is free of cost however, HDFC Securities’ trading platforms Blink has charges of Rs 3999 PA and ProTerminal has charges of Rs 1999 PA.
