Rarely, a few stockbrokers in India offer margin trading facilities (MTF) to non-resident NRI customers.
For instance, TradePlus is one such broker to avail of NRI margin trading services. Margin on NRI trading is available in two ways; 1. Cash funding or short-term loan, and 2. Margin against share held in the NRI Demat account.
To be noted, that the margin trading facility to NRI clients is available on selected stocks only and also within the prescribed limits by SEBI and stock exchanges (NSE and BSE). An NRI can avail a maximum of 75% of his trade value as margin.
