When was the Sovereign gold bond scheme launched for the first time?

The first sovereign gold bond scheme was launched in Nov 2015. In the initial years, the government was coming up with 3 or 4 schemes per year. From 2018 onwards, almost every year, RBI is launching a new sovereign gold bond scheme.
