Can a Minor invest in the Stock Market?

As minors are allowed to open a demat account they can invest in the stock market in India. Minors can hold investments in Indian companies listed on BSE and NSE but their demat account must have a specific guardian who will operate the demat account on the behalf of minor.

Minors are only allowed to invest in equity shares, they cannot do intraday trades and F&O trades.
