- Sign the duly filled form. In the case of joint account holders, the form must be signed by all the holders.
- Submit the duly filled form to the nearest DP’s branch or send it to the Head office.
After you submit the closure form along with supporting documents, it may take upto 7 working days to close your trading account.
Before closing your account, kindly ensure the following;
- Your demat account must be empty and you should not have any holdings or shares in it. If you have any shares, you can either transfer it to another demat account or sell them.
- Your trading account must report zero balance. If there is a negative balance, you must pay off them before account closure.
