You can not close Upstox account online. To close Upstox account you need to submit a physical application. Upstox Account closure form is available to download on Upstox Download section as “Upstox Demat Account Closure”.
Steps to close your account with Upstox.
- Clear all your dues if any pending.
- In case any amount left in your trading account, please create a fund transfer request and transfer your balance into your bank account.
- In case you have some holdings in your demat, you have two options-
- Sell and encash the holdings
- Transfer to another demat account.
- In case you need to transfer to another account, you need to provide DP ID and Client ID. Delivery Instruction Slip (DIS) need to submit.
- Signature by each holder.
- Attach document – Signed Copy of PAN Card, Signed Copy of Aadhar Card of all the holders.
- Send this Account closure form to Upstox/ RKSV Correspondence Address given in the form.
After receiving your account closure form, usually it will take up to 15 days to close your account. In case in 15 days you will not get any confirmation from Upstox team, you can contact Upstox Customer Support team over phone.
