What is the difference between convertible debentures and NCDs?

NCDs are non-convertible in nature means such instruments cannot be converted into equity share whereas convertible debentures are unsecured bonds with no underlying collateral security. These instruments offer a fixed rate of return till maturity, and on the maturity, it gets converted into equity shares of the company.
