Good for Day (GFD) and Immediate or Cancel (IOC) are the two different types of orders in Espresso Sharekhan that comes with different validity or time period till the order will remain activated in the pending status.
- Good For Day or GFD, as the name itself, are valid for a trading day. If the order doesn’t get executed till market closure then it will be expired or cancelled and next day, you have to place the order again.
- Immediate or Cancel or IOC: If prices are immediately matched then the IOC order will gets executed urgently or will be automatically cancelled. Thus, the orders are valid for a few second and either gets executed or expired immediately.
