You can open an NRI(PIS and NON-PIS) account with Zerodha, but in offline mode only.
NRIs can open a Zerodha 2-in-1 account, a Demat and trading account, and start online trading in equity delivery and futures & options.
Steps to open Zerodha NRI Demat Account
- Head to Zerodha NRI A/c opening page and sign-up.
- Enter your name, mobile number, and other details.
- Pay account opening fee: Rs 500
- Choose the NRI A/c type: PIS or Non-PIS and link relevant account details
- Enter basic details like nationality, city of birth, etc.
- Complete IPV process, and you can add a nominee also (optional).
- Upload NRI account opening documents
- Submit the form: Zerodha team will review it
- Once verified, download the NRI A/c opening form, enclose your signature, and send it to Zerodha's head office.
