How to close a Kotak Securities Demat Account?

If you want to close a Demat account of Kotak Securities then follow these steps :-

  1. Visit this link to get a Demat account closure form from Kotak Securities:-

  1. Download this form and carefully fill up all the required details, Name of the Holder(s), client ID, DP ID, etc.
  2. Mention the reason why you want to close the Demat account of Kotak Securities.
  3. Now courier this form to the DP Head Office.

Must Consider the following things before closing a Demat account :-

  • Ensure there should be no holdings or securities in your existing Demat account. If you have holdings then it needs to transfer to another Demat account with the same account holder name.
  • Balance not should be negative, all the settlements should be completed.

Once your Closure application request is submitted successfully, it will take 4-5 working days to close your Demat account.
