The process to apply for an IPO with Zerodha is the same for all types of investors but the only difference is you have to select employee as an investor type.
If a public issue has an employee quota or shareholder quota, Zerodha allows you to place an IPO bid as a retail investor, employees, and shareholders.
Here are the steps to apply for an IPO under the employee quota;
- Log in to your Zerodha account on the Kite web or Kite mobile app.
- Go to the IPO option under the bids menu at the top.
- Click on the Apply option respective to the IPO, you want to apply in.
- Once you click on Apply, select the investor type as “Employee”.
- Enter UPI ID, number of shares (in multiples of lot), and price.
- If there is any discount, the IPO apply window will display the total bidding amount, net of discount.
- Select the checkbox and submit the IPO bid.
- Your application for the IPO employee quota has been successfully placed on the exchange.
