If you have only opened IIFL equity account and not opened a commodity trading account. Then you have an option to activate the commodity trading segment too through the below process;
Steps to activate IIFL Commodity Trading
- Visit the IIFL Securities website.
- Go to the “Download Form Format”.
- Download the “Segment Activation Form” and get print out.
- Select the commodity futures & options segment and enter client code, first holder name, etc.
- Sign the Segment Activation Form.
- Attach income proof i.e. ITR acknowledgment, salary slip, net worth certificate, form-16, etc.
- Send the form to the broker.
Once the broker receives the form and verifies it, later the commodity trading segment will be activated.
