Established in August 1995, Sobha Limited is one of the leading real estate development and construction companies in India focusing on residential and contract projects. The company has built residential projects in Bangalore, in the southern Indian state of Karnataka, and other projects on a contract basis in eight Indian states, namely Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Haryana and Maharashtra.
The residential projects include presidential apartments, villas, row houses, super luxury apartments and luxury apartments with amenities like club house, swimming pool and shopping mall. The first residential project in Bangalore was launched in September 1997 and was completed within two years by September 1999. As of September 30, 2006, the company has developed and constructed 21 residential projects in Bangalore with a total of 1,552 apartments and a built-up area of around 2.98 million square feet.
Convention centres, software development blocks, multiplex theatres, hostels, guest houses, food courts, restaurants, education and research centres and club houses have been built for Infosys Technologies Limited in various states of India. For other corporate clients, they have built residential bungalows, campuses, retail showrooms and corporate offices on a contract basis.
