Shree Ram Proteins Limited was established in 2008 and is engaged in cotton seed decolorization and hulling by mechanical processes, oil extraction from cotton seeds and solvent extraction from cotton seed oil cakes and ground nuts. The manufacturing process consists of three stages: (I) cotton seed decolorization and dehulling, this process leads to the production of meal fibre (linter) and decolorized cotton seed (II), the process of oil extraction from cotton seed leads to pre-refined cotton seed oil and cotton seed oil cake, and (III) the process of solvent extraction, leads to pre-refined wash oil and de-oiled cotton seed cake.
Cotton linter can be used for the production of paper and as a raw material for the production of cellulose; it can be further processed for medical and cosmetic purposes. Cotton seed oil cake, cotton seed oil cake and cotton husks are used as animal feed. Pre-refined cottonseed oil is further processed in a refinery and converted into edible oil.
