Established in 1990, Sharat Industries Limited (SIL) is India's oldest integrated aquaculture company. The company successfully bred and processed black tiger prawns in the early years before eventually producing scampi prawns.
Sharat Industries Limited (SIL) is proud to be the pioneer of vannamei (white shrimp) farming in India. This has been made possible by the vision and persistent efforts of the dynamic Managing Director, Mr. S. Prasad Reddy. Sharat Industries Limited was earlier known as Sharat Sea Foods.

The strategic location of SIL's aquaculture farm and processing plant guarantees the freshest shrimp for processing. The company also has a well-integrated network of growers to ensure product traceability and the sourcing of healthy, antibiotic-free shrimp. As a vertically integrated aquaculture company, SIL monitors and controls the quality of the product (shrimp) at every stage.
