Orient Green Power Company Limited was incorporated in December 2006. The company is an independent Indian renewable energy based power producer focused on developing, owning and operating a diversified portfolio of renewable energy power plants. Currently, the portfolio includes wind energy.
The company is one of the largest independent producers of renewable power in India. As of June 2022, the company had a portfolio of 402.3 MW of wind power plants in the states of Tamil Nadu, Andra Pradesh, Gujarat and Karnataka. This also includes a 10.5 MW wind farm in Croatia, Europe.
The company has expanded its business by acquiring renewable energy assets from third parties and developing greenfield projects. Its customers include state-owned utilities and private commercial and industrial consumers. The PPAs are concluded with C and I customers, with prices varying depending on the type of customer, available tariffs, location and term of the PPA.
