Hatsun Agro Product Limited was incorporated in 1986. It is a dairy company based in south India. Its business model in India consists of procurement, processing, distribution, and marketing operations of dairy products. They procure milk from farmers through Hatsun Milk Banks (HMB) and Active Bulk Coolers (ABCs) and manufacture various dairy-based products such as milk, curd, ghee, butter, paneer, ice cream, chocolates, yogurt, skimmed milk powder, lassi, buttermilk, cheese spread, and dairy whitener.
Hatsun Agro primarily markets milk and curd under its brand names 'Arokya' and 'Hatsun' and ice-creams under its brand name 'Arun'. Further, it operates its own outlets under its brand name of 'IBACO' to sell ice creams, chocolates, and ice-cream cakes. Hatsun Agro also manufactures and sells cattle feed under its brand name 'Santosa' to farmers through its procurement network.
Hatsun Agro Limited procure milk from milk farmers through its HMBs and ABCs. This supply chain network includes procurement of milk from various districts across the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana and Maharashtra through over 9,304 HMBs and 1,304 ABCs as on September 30, 2022.
